Application examples of Isolation and Antivibration Pads
AirLoc Damping Pads Help “Quiet the Wind” for Residential Wind Turbine
AirLoc was contacted by Maurice Ramirez, DO, PhD, of Aeolian Technologies, LLC to help reduce structure borne noise in a 15 KW small wind turbine installed in Non-Coastal Florida, which AirLoc was able to do by applying AirLoc high dampening antivibration pads.

AirLoc low frequency B4 BiLoc® Pads keep rooftop cooling towers quiet
MBI Building was responsible for installing a Marley 450 ton cooling towers on the roof of the building located in a nearby Corporate Research Park. AirLoc B4 pads were recommended with low profile (2 inches height) and a natural frequency of around 9 Hz (cycles per second), which provides excellent isolation for the variable speed drive tower cooling fans.

AirLoc 900 series pads used in die inverting tile protective floor system
Dies for stamping presses and tandem press lines are generally maintained in an area close to the machines where they are installed, and existing floors where they sit are typically concrete or wood block construction. The use of AirLoc 900 series pads solves the problem of damaged tools and floors when heavy dies are moved and accidentally overturned or dropped.

AirLoc Pad Vibration Isolation on Vertical Pump Application
Late last year AirLoc worked closely with Lane Systems & Supply Company to help solve a noise and vibration problem on pumps at a paper mill in Maine. The problem was severe enough to limit the speed the pumps could run at. By incorporating AirLoc high-damp pad material directly under the pumps and the pump stands mounting feet, along with isolation washers, the vibration levels were reduced dramatically.

AirLoc low stiffness pads help J.P.L. Compressor Service quiet rooftop equipment
J.P.L. Compressor Service uses AirLoc low stiffness, 32 pad to insure that his equipment will not transmit noise into buildings, and attached structures. Below is shown a recent installation of rooftop cooling fans with the AirLoc 32 pads cut to size and used to support the equipment and isolate the vibration/noise from the support structure.

AirLoc Biloc® Isolation Pads tame vibration from a large power plant motor/fan
AirLoc was asked to provide a pad isolation system for an installation where a lube oil pump unit was already installed and modifications had to be minimized. Severe vibration inputs were being generated by a large motor driven cooling fan mounted on the same foundation as the lube oil pump in a new power plant facility.
